Welcome!
We are the Deals! I am Josiah and my wife is Amanda and we live in Wisconsin. We have been happily married since 2021. God provided Amanda to me in answer to my prayers for a wife and I am continually amazed by how He prepared her to be the perfect companion to me in so many different ways. We attend a Bible-focused non-denominational church named The Ekklesia at St. John's in Kohlsville, Wisconsin. I am an IT Administrator by occupation.
It is my hope to use this website help me organize my studies of the Bible and the topics contained within it in one place. I am making it public in hopes that it may be of use to others as well. There are certainly other websites out there which have an emphasis on the study of God's word, and mine is not the best! But I am blessed if God is able to use this content to minister to others.
I want to say that I am not an ordained pastor and I do not hold any kind of authoritative role in my church. I have been permitted to lead Bible studies and share messages at times. It is not my desire that people should read the content that I produce and submit themselves to me rather than the existing church authority that they are under. If the things you read prompt you to have questions about teachings in your church, I encourage you to take those questions to your church elders. It is important that you do not substitute me in place of the shepherds that God has put over you. Of course, God is the ultimate authority, and if you believe you cannot trust your church eldership, I encourage you to seek the Lord and any trustworthy Christian believers you know for guidance.
While it is my aim to handle the content of scripture with integrity, I am fallible, and there are times when I miss the mark. I believe the things I share on this website represent the truth inasmuch as I understand it, but for any instance in which you feel something is incorrect, I am willing to receive questions and challenges. I am not offended by questions or disagreements and I am willing to correct my position so long as I understand where I am in error.
I am conscious that I am not without faults myself, and I am frequently reminded that hypocrisy is a true threat to be on guard against. I do not think I am without fault in this area. It is very easy for me to see fault in others and to overlook equivalent faults within myself. May God deliver me; I need His grace daily!
This website and other platforms related to it are new and are a work in progress. Changes may occur as I have time and learn more about how to optimize things. The Facebook page for Truth in the Pages is probably where I will post more interactive content, and if you want to send me a message, that is the channel I recommend you use.
